Artificial intelligence is not just a trend, but a key topic that will significantly influence our future. In today’s world, where AI methods and tools are ubiquitous, AI is playing an increasingly important role in production.
Last September, the factory of the future was ceremoniously opened in the Magdeburg Science Harbor. Equipped with the latest technology, the Elbfabrik not only serves as a research and experimental facility, but also as a cooperation platform for partners and companies.
As part of our KI-Kollektiv platform, we would like to invite you to our Elbfabrik to introduce you to insightful use cases for AI in production in the form of a lively dialogue. Our experts, Patrick Menz and Andreas Herzog, will present you with three exciting examples that will illustrate the application of AI in industry:
• Automated part processing – part identification
This involves identifying components – with the support of AI – based on their product-inherent characteristics. This demonstrator shows how products can be identified and tracked without having to use labels.
• Inline analysis station for plastic parts
This application uses AI to identify plastics in components that are indistinguishable to the human eye.
• Coffee demonstrator
Here, AI-supported spectral analysis is used to determine the ingredients and quality analysis of coffee beans.
